Yes, and it is usually the faster option. We work in your repository, your ticket tracker, and your review process, matching the conventions already in place. Where we think a convention is costing the team time, we raise it as a suggestion rather than changing it unilaterally.

What does 'done' mean on your projects?

Agreed in writing before work starts, and it always includes more than 'the feature runs'. Typically: tests on the critical paths, documentation updated, deployed to production, monitored, and demonstrated to the person who asked for it.
