Custom Software Development

Software built for how your business actually runs, instead of a subscription you have to bend your process around.

Off-the-shelf software is the right answer more often than most vendors admit. When it is not — because the workflow is your competitive advantage, because the integrations do not exist, or because per-seat pricing has outgrown the value — we build the thing properly. That means a system your team can operate, a codebase your next engineer can read, and no dependency on us to keep it running.

Typical stack

  • TypeScript
  • React & Next.js
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • AWS / Vercel

What you get

  1. 01

    Discovery & technical scope

We map the workflow as it works today, agree on what the software must change, and write a scope with a fixed price rather than an open-ended hourly estimate.

  2. 02

    Working software, early

You get a running staging environment in the first weeks, not a demo at the end. Feedback lands while it is still cheap to act on.

  3. 03

    Tested, documented codebase

Typed code, automated tests on the paths that matter, and a README that explains how to run it. No mystery build steps.

  4. 04

    Deployment & handover

Repository, environments, CI/CD pipeline, and a recorded walkthrough transferred to you. The code and the accounts are yours.

Custom Software Development questions

How do you decide whether to build or buy?

We look at three things: whether the workflow is genuinely specific to your business, whether an existing product covers 80% of it, and what the ten-year cost of each path looks like. If buying wins, we say so — including when that means a smaller engagement for us. Building software you did not need is the most expensive mistake in this category.

Who owns the code you write?

You do, in full, on final payment. That covers the source code, the repository history, the infrastructure accounts, and any documentation produced. There is no licence to renew and no exit fee, and you can take the project to another team at any point without asking us.

Can you take over a project someone else started?

Frequently. We start with a short technical audit — what the code does, what it is missing, and what it would cost to finish versus rebuild — and give you a written recommendation before any development begins.
